BT0022 Higashi-Matsushima City
While visiting Higashi-Matsushima City in Miyagi Prefecture where reconstruction has progressed, we will explain the situation during the Great East Japan Earthquake in a more concise manner. In addtion to the tour of the Higashi-Matsushima City Disaster Recovery Memorial Museum, we will explain the situiation of damage of the disaster and reconstruction from the residents' perspective with the story of actual earthquake experiences of the guide, traveling by bus around the city's disaster-affected areas and mass relocation areas. (Explanation may be conducted while looking out of the bus window, or visitors may also get off the bus at the disaster-affected areas.)
Fear of the tsunami, learned lessons from the experience of the disaster, and the state of disaster-affected areas before and after the disaster
We want to express our gratitude for the support we received from all over the world.
We want to emphasize the importance of understanding the terror and fear of the earthquake disaster, of never forgetting to prepare for the next disaster, and of realizing the importance of conveying the lessons learned from the experience of the disaster to the next generation.
