Daily preparation is indispensable in evacuating with your pet – a member of your family, in the event of a large-scale disaster. This program discusses vital knowledge needed in the case of an emergency, as well as seven points pet owners should always bear in mind. It also shows participants around the facility, discussing the present conditions of dogs and cats in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture.
Being an exemplary pet owner in the community is vital in encouraging those inside the evacuation shelter to allow your pet inside with you. Training your pet well on a day-to-day basis also makes it easier for your pet to be allowed entry. The key lies in raising owners’ awareness.
