Disaster Preparedness Games "Crossroad" Experience (Workshop Style)
A crossroad game where the players split into an odd-number group of 5 or 7 people. They will give their thoughts on selected questions regarding their own judgment of the situation during a disaster by answering YES / NO. Following this, they will state their reason for choosing YES / NO, and the rest will share their opinions on the reason and so on. By considering the disaster preparedness and the decisions involving various dilemmas occurring after the disaster as their own problems, the players can deepen their understanding of how to deal with disasters and realize that people have different opinions and values.
The players will understand that there are a wide variety of thoughts in responding to disasters.
They will understand that manuals for disaster response etc. are just guidelines for standard actions, and that it is necessary to be flexible in responding in accordance to the situation.
They will understand that communication is important in disaster response.
