Contents/ Itinerary for BOSAI Tourism

In the guidance, we will show you around the exhbits, with explanations about memories and experiences of the Great East Japan Earthquake, as well as the lifestyle and culture of the eastern coastal area of Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture. In the interaction space on the 1st floor, we exhibit 3D maps and related materials of the eastern coastal area in Sendai City. In the exhibition room on the second floor, we have a permanent exhibition about the earthquake damage and the status of restoration and reconstruction, and we also have a special exhibition which conveys the earthquake disaster through the lives and memories of the people living in the eastern coastal area, among other various points of view. You can see the scenery of the town from the rooftop garden on the 3rd floor. Normally, the guided tour takes about 30 to 60 minutes, but we can flexibly meet your requests such as the number of people, or the length, and purpose of visit.

What we want to tell through the experiences of BOSAI Tourism Contents

The eastern coastal area of Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture is often called the "disaster affected area", but this area has a way of life and history which has continues to this day. We aim to convey both aspects of "disaster" and "regional history".
