BT0019 Shichigahama Town
A disaster affected site guide will either show you around Shichigahama Town in a bus or a car, or lecture about their experiences during the East Japan Great Earthquake at a venue in Shichigahama Town.
We are working to pass on experiences of the Great East Japan Earthquake with the motto, “Continuing to Pass on the Experience for Future Generations!” Volunteer guides range from university students to people aged 80 and over. They all love Shichigahama Town, Miyagi Prefecture, and will show you around the town telling you about the various damage caused and the current state of recovery.
We want to tell everyone – children included – about the current situation here, the situation during the disaster, and what it was like in Shichigahama Town in Miyagi Prefecture before the disaster. We wish to tell everyone what we learned, and of the bonds formed through the support and hard work of the volunteers.
