Lecture on Creating Local Disaster Preparedness Map (My Map) by Walking around the Town

Contents/ Itinerary for BOSAI Tourism

A local disaster preparedness map (My Map) is a handmade map for you and your family, and this will also be useful for your local community. This starts with knowing the terrain and ground features of the area where you live. The map will be created upon gathering information of the area during fieldwork. Using My Map, you will predict and estimate the damage during a disaster which will lead to knowing the area's important resources by considering countermeasures. In addition, through working on a map with several people, you will nurture the foundation of cooperation and reduce the damage of natural disasters.
