"In-house kataribe (eyewitness) guide." Local staff who experienced the earthquake talk about their own experiences and lessons
・ Tsunami Memorial Hall (about 20 to 60 minutes): Along with the exhibition in the hall, the staff will guide and talk about the "events in Kamaishi" at the time of the earthquake, disaster risk education and the experiences they made at that time.
・ Kamaishi Unosumai Recovery Stadium (40-60 minutes): Explanation and tour of the stadium, and a passing on the history of the earthquake program.
・ Kamaishi Unosumai Recovery Stadium (40-60 minutes): In this program, participants will listen to experiences of former elementary and middle school students while. following the path that they used to escape from the tsunami immediately after the Great East Japan Earthquake.
We would like to convey the importance of preparing for a disaster by making use of the lessons learned from the Great East Japan Earthquake. Our mission is to convey to children and all those who live with nature the "wisdom to survive" learned from disasters, such as "take the initiative to escape to a high place" and "once you escape, do not return, do not let others return".
